Legacy DNS - DDNS setting getting turned off by ControlD endpoint
I've been struggling. I need to use legacy DNS because I stream TV content from the UK.
It needs a DDNS for my changing IP. I have a GL.inet Flint 2 router and use its built in DDNS for this. But every time there's a glitch on my internet service ( or my router switches to the backup 4G hotspot even for 1 minutes ) , the ControlD's endpoint configuration decides to turn off DDNS permanently ( "for safety" ) as it momentarily isnt updated and therefore points to the wrong IP. But it will never retry and reactivate. So my whole ControlD service fails and I'm not aware its failed until I get a geo block warning which may be days.
This is so frustrating. Any ways to get around this problem ( except a static IP ) . Is there a way to force a DDNS update from the router as soon as there is a disturbance or switch over to the back up hotspot or to make ControlD wait and not permanently delete the DDNS configuration.
