On desktop macOS Safari, when the Edit Rule dialog is open, dragging to select part of a domain name and ending with the cursor outside of the Edit Rule dialog causes that Edit Rule dialog to close (presumably because that’s interpreted as a click outside of the dialog).

It’s easy to select this way (and encounter this problem) when trying to remove a subdomain to the start of a domain; actually ending with the cursor inside the bounds of the dialog requires more effort because of the tiny space to the left of the domain name text field where the cursor would need to land to avoid the out-of-dialog “click” that causes it to close.
