Request to Open-Source Filter Lists for the Services Filters
I’m reaching out to propose that Control-D open-sources its filter lists for the "Services" filtering section. This would provide a transparent view for users to see which domains are covered and allow them to contribute additional domains for better coverage.
Currently, it’s challenging to know which domains are already blocked by Control-D without manually querying each one, which is inefficient for large lists. By open-sourcing the filter lists, users can actively participate in maintaining and improving these lists, ensuring more comprehensive protection.
NextDNS has taken a similar approach by maintaining a public list on GitHub, which is open to user contributions. Although their list is not actively updated anymore, it sets a precedent for community-driven improvements.

For instance, Temu, a fast-growing e-commerce platform operated by the Chinese company Pinduoduo—a company with a reputation for malicious activities—relies on numerous domains that frequently change. Allowing users to contribute to a dynamic list of these domains would significantly enhance Control-D’s ability to filter such services effectively.
Thank you for considering this suggestion.
