Resolving Issues With Google Voice STUN and Other UDP Traffic

Just thought I would share the solution to an issue I was having in case it helps others.

If you use Google Voice, another VoIP service that utilizes a STUN server, or some other software which relies on UDP, you may receive errors when using Control D . In the case of Google Voice you may receive an error such as "Your Internet Connection is Unstable" when trying to initiate a phone call.

Resolving this issue is not difficult, you just need to add a custom bypass rule for the destination server(s) in question. In the case of Google Voice, simply add a bypass rule for host "stun.l.google.com" (no quotes) to the profile assigned to your device(s). This will allow the necessary traffic to reach the destination server as expected.

Hope this is helpful :)
