# Automatic Setup (GUI)

Want to spend the least amount of time setting up Control D on your Android device?

# Manual Setup

Despite how daunting this may sound, setup on Android is actually very easy (takes 30s), as long as you're running Android 9 or newer.

1. Open **Android Settings** menu and search for **Private DNS**.
2. Open the sub-menu, and select **Private DNS provider hostname**
3. Paste your Device's unique **DNS-over-TLS** hostname into the box.

That's it, you're done.
